Radio 3 Norway is a Norwegian Internet radio which focuses on giving you as a listener the best listening experience. We had some trial runs in August 2007, while we had our official opening on January 1st, 2008. We are pleased with the current progress the station has made since the opening and we've recieved good reviews from sources in other Norwegian medias. Our musical profile is based on mainstream pop, rock, hip-hop and R'n'B.

Brief information about the shows

Our slogan is "More music!", and to fulfill that slogan, we bring you a variety of automated and live shows to cover most of the music genres out there.

Radio 3 Selected - This is the ultimate mix. When this show is on you'll get random tracks from our massive music libary.

Flashback - Get ready to be taken back to the golden years of the 70's, 80's and 90's. We're turning back the clock to play the ultimate hits from 1969 to 1999. A definitive taste of nostaglia! Whenever you see "Live" at the end of the show title, you'll hear the voice of Trond Harald Hansen, who will give you the ultimate classics.

InBox - This show will give you a selection of tracks that have been appearing in our inbox the latest week. Host Alf Otto Fagermo will give you a presentation of the hottest new tracks you'll be certain to hear in the near future.

Kickoff - Kickstart your party at Radio 3 Norway. We're warming up to our party Dancefloor with a two hour pre-party, which will give you the best party music that works best before the real party starts. Whenever you see "Live" in the show name, a DJ will be on the air to make the party even better!

Graasonen - Perfect show for the end of the party. The music suits a theme for the after party or the recovery after a hard night out. The "Grey Zone" is on the air every Sunday from 1am to 3am.

Dancefloor - Dancefloor is our weekend party. We'll give you the ultimate electronic party music that will make your speakers and subwoofers work overtime. Perfect party music and perfect for your own home party. There's also so special premium shows on the air every weekend to give you the absolute hottest in electronic music. These shows are:

TranceChill - For the last five years, has this show been the best way to start off your weekend. Host Alf Otto Fagermo gives you the fresh electronic music and the hottest prime cuts over a stretch of two hours. Check out TranceChill's own site for more information.

Dance To Trance - Anders Sorensen, aka. DJ Zorensen, is a well-known DJ with a good reputation for his Dance To Trance-collection, and every week you'll hear another volume from his collection.

Listener support

Are you having difficulties listening to Radio 3 Norway? This section will probarbly help you with some of the most common issues.

I can't get the web player to work!

Our web player is based on Flash, and it's recommended that you have Flash installed on your computer. Make sure you have the latest version, as we've discovered some difficulties with older versions, such as: - Music's too slow
- Music's too fast (chipmunks)
- No player is shown

I can't hear a sound when I'm trying to listen!

To listen to us, you'll need to have a sound card installed on your computer. A sound card covertes the computer stream the server sends out to audible sound.
If you have a sound card installed, make sure that the volume is not turned down or turned off. Check the icon shaped like a speaker to see if you can change the volume.

The sound is skipping when I listen to you!

Our stream is at 192 kilobits per second. This means that you'll need to have an Internet connection three times faster than ISDN, and also make sure that there are no other softwares using your connection. 192 kilobits per second, or 192kbps, means that the stream requires 32 kilobytes per second available to download to get a steady and skipless stream.
